Frequent Asked Questions

How do I save the pictures?

  • CLICK ON THE SLIDE (or thumbnail) of the picture to open up the image. (Or you can select the percentage size below the thumbnail to open up the image.)
  • RIGHT CLICK on the image, once the image window pops up. A menu should appear.
  • SELECT "Save picture as...." option in the right click menu.
  • SAVE the picture onto your desktop or one of your selected files.

The image is now saved onto your own PC. You insert the image into your favorite document editor such as MS Word, WordPerfect, or PageMaker.

How do I turn one of the wallpapers into my background image?

  • PC Directions: SELECT THE CORRECT GALLERY for your desktop. The wallpapers come in two common sizes and therefore have been divided into two separate galleries: 800x600 and 1024x768.
  • CLICK ON THE SLIDE (or thumbnail) of the wallpaper picture to open up the image.
  • RIGHT CLICK on the image, once the image window appears. A menu should pop up.
  • SELECT "Set As Background" option in the right click menu.

How do I determine which wallpaper size I need?

  • MINIMIZE or CLOSE all of the open windows so that all you see is your desktop.
  • RIGHT CLICK anywhere your desktop except on an icon or shortcut
  • SELECT "Properties" from the right click pop-up menu that appears.
  • CLICK the "Settings" tab from the Display Properties dialog box.
  • READ what is set in the "Screen Resolution" slider bar, then Close out of the Display Properties dialog box.

I like a picture on the site but would like a different size or resolution.

  • Jot down which gallery in which you saw the picture and the name of the picture (hover your mouse over the thumbnail of the picture and a yellow box will appear with the file name). Then send us a request by filling out our online form.

There's a church event coming up and I would like a photographer to cover it.

  • First of all, you must be part of the pastoral or church staff in order to make such a request. If so, please fill out a Request Form. InFocus is a volunteer ministry and we will try to cover any requested event. However, it is not always possible. But we will try! (We will also verify that it is a church event.)
  • Please give us at least a 4 week notice.

I have some digital pictures I took of church events that could be used in the galleries, what should I do with them?

  • Drop off your cd of pictures at the church, indicating that they are for InFocus. The InFocus group retains the right to post them or not. If you want your cd returned to you, please indicate that on a note when dropping off the cd.

Can I request a cd of these pictures?

Got pictures?

Do you have digital images from a recent church event you attended? Send them in to InFocus. Put them on cd, mark it as "InFocus" with a note as to what event it was; place it on the Information Desk at the church, and we'll post them on the site!

All InFocus photos available in the Galleries are free to use for personal and/or commercial purposes. No payment is necessary to use these photographs for personal or commercial use. For Commercial Print or Production who want to include any of the photographs see the License Agreement below. You can add these pictures to a website but they are not to be sold or archived in any way.

Under the End User Licence Agreement (EULA), you may use any photos available in the Galleries. These pictures may not be sold and remains as property of South Hills Assembly (SHA). If using them for commercial use outside of the purposes of South Hills Assembly, you must place this acknowledgement somewhere in the copy or video: "Photographs by: SHA InFocus"

SHA InFocus maintains the right to request removal of any pictures or deny the use of any of these photographs upon their discretion.
